Stereoscopic Multiplexer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question:
Is Stereoscopic Multiplexer compatible with HDV camcorders?
Answer:
At the moment, Windows doesn't provide a capture driver for HDV cameras. It might
be possible to use HDV with proprietary capture drivers and third party MPEG-2 decoders.
However, HDV multiplexing is not an official Stereoscopic Multiplexer feature yet.
Until HDV capture drivers become available, you can switch your camcorder's output
to DV mode to get a stereoscopic preview using Stereoscopic Multiplexer. It is possible
to record in HDV even when the Firewire output is set to DV mode.
Question:
What are the proper settings for DV camcorder?
Answer:
Use a resolution of 720 x 576 pixel (PAL) or 720 x 480 pixel (NTSC) and YUY2 color
space.
Question:
Stereoscopic Multiplexer doesn't work. What can I do?
Answer:
Follow the instructions in the installation and
troubleshooting guide.
